UNIQLO Casting Call

Casting Call for musicians/singers/bands and kids to perform in a TV/Web (possible international) commercial campaign for Uniqlo. Only ONE of these dates - December 27-28th 2008, January 5,6,7th 2009 will be required. Your performance maybe used for the final commercial campaign. You must have singing ability to apply! The details are as follows -

• Looking for Non Asian, Caucasian Singers/Musicians/Bands between 20-40 years old
• Looking for Non Asian, Black Singers/Musicians between 20-40 years old
• Also looking for Non Asian Kid singers roughly 10 years old
• Performance is required and maybe used for the final commercial
• Instrumental skill with singing will have additional appeal (no extra fee)
• Genres required are Pop/Modern/Jazz/Rock NO classical
• You cannot have any connection or previous work experience with H&M or GAP

Audition

Audition date will be held Tuesday December 16, 2008 from 12:00 somewhere in Tokyo. If you cannot attend the audition an application form, plus at least 3 good photos and quality MP3 are OK. You may have a chance for another day.

Shooting Dates

Shooting will take place between 27-28 December 2008 or January 5,6,7 2009. You must be available for the WHOLE day. ONLY 1 day will be required.

Guarantee

Adults for one day is 120,000 YEN - 200,000 YEN (depending on your role)

Kids for one day is 60,000 YEN - 100,000 YEN (depending on your role)

NHK Saturday Drama

NHK are looking for the following ethnic groups to audition for a Saturday drama to be shot between February to April 2009.

• Linda - (Female) Chief of the U.N. refugee agency (acting ability required) Of African-American, Middle-Eastern or Asian ethnicity (non white). A large physique is preferable.
• A girl - Aged between 10-13 Of Middle Eastern ethnicity
• A girl and a boy (good singing ability & experience required) Of Middle Eastern ethnicity.

The details are as follows -

• On air: 30/May/2009 - 4/July/2009, Every Saturday at PM 9:00. A Total of 5 episodes!
• Story: Based on the famous novel "Kaze Ni Maiagaru Blue Sheet" written by Eto Mori Schedule: The Filming will take place between February to April 2009. (May be required to attend rehearsal for final production 3 times a week)
• Guarantee: 45,000 yen per episode, which includes 1 day X rehearsal (half day) + 2 days for final production (whole day)

Band Member Movie Casting Call DEADLINE HAS CLOSED

Looking for four band members – Caucasian, looking between 40-50 years old. Vocal, guitarist, bassist and drummer. Must be able to play designated instrument, but will not be recorded. You will be in a concert scene, posing as a heavy metal band, similar to the band K.I.S.S. Shooting takes place on December 4-5, and you must be available for the whole day.

Audition

The audition date is Wednesday November 5th. Held somewhere in Tokyo. You must submit your application form by Monday November 3rd, 18:00.

Guarantee

The guarantee is 40,000 yen per shooting day. There will be rehearsals, fittings and other time commitments that will be compensated for at a minimal fee.

Dates

You must be available for shooting on December 4 and 5. Other rehearsal and costume fitting days are also a requirement.

NHK Seeks French Presenters DEADLINE HAS CLOSED

Starting in December 2008 and finishing in September 2009, NHK’s education division requires French natives to present an educational show for T.V & Radio. If you are not French do not apply for this position… but please inform your French friends about this wonderful opportunity!

Requirements

• Clear and precise pronunciation
• Good team player
• Must possess a working visa until December 2009
• Must have an interest in French education

Candidates with showman like qualities such as acting, dancing or possessing a musical talent would be preferable. No Japanese communication ability or skill is required.

Program details

Filming will start in December 2008 and finish in September 2009. The successful candidate must attend all filming/recording during the contract period. Filming/rehearsal/recording and other preparatory tasks will usually take place twice a month, lasting the whole day
